The Road to the Knoxville Cup
The Knoxville Amateur Tour was created to determine the best amateur golfers in the Knoxville area. Those golfers will qualify to play in the Knoxville Cup – a Ryder Cup style tournament that pits the top amateurs in Knoxville against local PGA professionals. Are you good enough to make it to the Cup?
How to Earn Points
Level 1 Tournaments
Top 20 (Championship Flights) in Level 1 Tournaments receive the following points:
- 50 pts
- 40 pts
- 35 pts
- 30 pts
- 25 pts
- 20 pts
- 18 pts
- 17 pts
- 16 pts
- 15 pts
- 14 pts
- 13 pts
- 12 pts
- 11 pts
- 10 pts
- 9 pts
- 8 pts
- 7 pts
- 6 pts
- 5 pts
Level 2 Tournaments
Top 20 (Championship Flights) in Level 2 Tournaments receive the above point totals multiplied by two.
*If field has fewer than 40 participants only the top half of the field will be awarded points
TGA POY Points List
A player will be awarded the TGA POY points they accumulate by playing in TGA championships and point events in the calendar year.
Note: Seniors can earn points in either the regular Championship flight or the Senior Championship flight.
